Rising Australian pop star Jett Blyton is back with his electrifying new single ‘Omg’, an unapologetically loud, love-struck rush of pop optimism that captures the dizzying feeling of falling for someone and having absolutely no intention of keeping it to yourself. The new single arrives amid a breakout period for the Canberra-born artist.

In September, Jett took his infectious pop sound to Brisbane as a featured live performer at BIGSOUND which followed the success of his first-ever headline tour, further cementing his reputation as an artist to watch. Jett has also just been confirmed among the musical highlights announced for Sydney’s Mardi Gras 2027 celebrations and will perform at Fair Day at Victoria Park on February 14th along with Rogue Traders and Zippora.

‘Omg’ marks yet another exciting chapter in the rapid ascent of one of Australia’s most compelling new pop voices. A song built on the thrill of saying exactly what you feel, ‘Omg’ is Jett at his most direct, delivering infectious melodies and larger-than-life pop production with a rush of millennial nostalgia. Think Spice Girls blasting with the windows down, the head-spinning excitement of a new crush, and the kind of optimism that makes you believe anything is possible.

“Going into writing ‘Omg’, I really wanted this track to be as loud and clear as possible. I wrote it to say exactly how I felt at the time and leave nothing up for interpretation; I’m always scared to tell someone how I feel, but for some reason condensing it into a 3:30 pop song feels so effortless,” says Jett. “I had my tarot cards read for the first time before writing this, I find it so funny how that’s one of those things we do to attach validation to whatever we want. Guilty as charged. ‘Omg’ feels like peak millennial optimism to me, like Spice Girls blaring with the windows down and the kind of rush you get from fawning over someone you barely know.”

‘Omg’ is yet another track lifted this year that will feature on Jett’s forthcoming sophomore long-form project, The American Heartthrob, a body of work that is shaping up to be his most ambitious and defining release to date.

Earlier this year Jett was named among NME’s 100 Essential Emerging Artists for 2026, adding to an impressive list of early achievements that includes consecutive appearances in the Triple J Unearthed High Yearbook in 2023 and 2024, a nomination at the MusicACT Music Awards (MAMAs), and public praise from global pop stars Sabrina Carpenter and Audrey Hobert for his songwriting.

Since emerging as a fearless songwriter with a gift for sharp storytelling, infectious melodies and perfect pop production, Jett Blyton has continued to build a devoted audience through his distinctive artistic vision. With ‘Omg’, he turns the volume up once again, offering another irresistible glimpse into the world of The American Heartthrob.
