NATALIE IMBRUGLIA'S NEW SINGLE "JUST DRIVE" ARRIVES AHEAD OF 'ALGORITHM' ALBUM AND AUSSIE SHOW DATES!

LISTEN TO “JUST DRIVE” NEW SINGLE HERE

FROM THE NEW ALBUM ‘ALGORITHM’, OUT SEPTEMBER 4TH - PRE-ORDER HERE

Anticipation for the September 4th release of Natalie Imbruglia’s ‘Algorithm’ album has been accelerated by the thrilling double-strike of the recent single ‘Upside Down’ and the ambitious, conversational starting title track ‘Algorithm. Now Natalie unveils her new single ‘Just Drive’ which is out now. Listen HERE.

‘Just Drive’ finds Natalie wrapping her tender-yet-ravishing vocal flair in a whirlpool of electro-pop elegance: a cocktail of luminous, beacon-like synths, flourishes of piano melody, and a juddering, pulsating beat, which calls to mind the cathartic release of Robyn’s “Dancing on My Own”. Delivering lyrics that suggest instead of standing still in heartbreak, Imbruglia is already in motion, foot on the pedal and disappearing into the distance.

Natalie says, “I wrote ‘Just Drive’ about a breakup, and about something I think a lot of us do, which is hiding how we feel to make other people feel better. Sometimes you’d rather go through it on your own, as hard as that is. You love the other person so much, you don’t want to put them through it too.”

Natalie wrote and produced ‘Just Drive’ with MyRiot (London Grammar, Primal Scream), who she collaborated with on several tracks from the upcoming album. Other contributors on the album include Fraser T Smith (Adele, Dave, Stormzy, Sam Smith), Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody, Anu Pillai (Lewis Capaldi, Lana Del Rey), Tobie Tripp (Michael Kiwanuka, Joy Crookes), David Sneddon (Lana Del Rey), Dan Priddy (Bastille), Mark Crew (Bastille, Rag’n’Bone Man) and Romeo Stodart (Magic Numbers).

‘Algorithm’ opens a portal into a new era of reinvigoration for Natalie Imbruglia. It’s an immensely personal record defined by confronting and sharing her deepest feelings. Those raw emotions are expressed in sleek, shimmering songs - in tandem creating relatable, full-feeling catharsis and the escapism of being immersed into dancefloor friendly music. It will engage fans who date back to her chart-topping, multi-million selling breakthrough with ‘Torn’ and the ‘Left of the Middle’, as well as those who discovered her following her guest performance with Olivia Rodrigo. It delivers on Natalie’s dedicated commitment to the album, having personally financed and directed the record herself.

The ‘Algorithm’ album is available to pre-order HERE. The campaign was recently boosted with some additional formats. There is a Wax and Beans limited edition exclusive, which features a signed and hand-numbered transparent blue vinyl with a sparkle 7”, as well as an optional wooden record display stand. Natalie’s official store also now stocks a cassette.

This year has seen Natalie reconnect with fans across the world, mixing up headline shows, major festivals and gigs which includes exciting upcoming Australian live shows as special guest support on the Bryan Adams ‘Roll With The Punches’ national tour in February & March 2027. She will also perform at a special Jose Carreras & Friends stadium spectacular at The Gabba in Brisbane on December 5th this year.

The new album ‘Algorithm’ finds Natalie Imbruglia in a new era: one of empowerment, freedom and creative fulfillment. The Australian-British pop icon’s first album in five years is a tour de force, a deeply personal record to remind us precisely why we fell in love with her in the first place.

Natalie says, “On this record I chose to work with collaborators who also co-produce, so from start to finish we were all so invested in every song. I really hope that people get as much joy from listening to this record as we did making it. And that they dance their arses off. This was by far the most fun I’ve ever had making a record. It also happened to coincide with the most challenging time I’ve had with my mental health. This is the beauty of music and artistic expression. You can take something dark and turn it into light.”
