Today, Mariah Carey dropped the official video for her new single “Type Dangerous”, the first release from her upcoming 16th studio album and her first in 7 years. The cinematic visual, directed by Joseph Kahn, shows Mariah as a glamorous yet infallible assassin, effortlessly leaving a trail of bodies behind her in each scene. Released last Friday, the elusive chanteuse’s new single was instantly met with an outpouring of praise and celebration from fans and critics alike. Earlier this week, Mariah shined at the BET Awards when she performed “Type Dangerous” live for the very first time and was joined on stage by Rakim and Anderson .Paak. Showering the stage in gold confetti to send off her performance, Mariah made it very clear that Mimi is back.
