Beloved singer-songwriter Danielle Spencer has just released her anticipated third studio album titled “Regenerate”. It comes after a 16-year gap since her last critically acclaimed album Calling All Magicians (2010), and prior her impactful album debut White Monkey (2002).
Written entirely by Danielle, Regenerate marks a bold new creative chapter for one of Australia’s most compelling and consistently evolving artists. The album explores themes of rebirth, growth and self-discovery, embracing electronic textures, theatrical performance and a renewed physical presence on stage. “You can be anybody, I can be anybody, we can be anybody,” She says — a philosophy that sits at the heart of the record.
Born into music as the daughter of Don Spencer, Danielle began singing and learning piano at just four years old before building a successful career across music, film, TV and theatre. She has starred in numerous landmark Australian dramas including The Flying Doctors, Home and Away and All Saints.
The comeback era began in late 2024 with the release of the first title track Regenerate, which introduced a more electronic, experimental and visually ambitious sound. The single earned strong critical praise and led to Danielle’s first-ever performance with a remix version at the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras in 2025 and ended the year with another coveted Stellar Magazine cover feature. Follow-up single releases “Hummingbird” and most recently “Older” found audiences in unexpected corners of the world, further cementing her growing international reach and celebratory return to music.
With Regenerate, Danielle Spencer delivers her most confident, adventurous and emotionally rich body of work to date — an honest, intelligent and thought-provoking album that reflects an artist fully embracing reinvention and creative freedom, while concurrently feeling like her most accessible and pop-oriented work.
