AUSTRALIAN ELECTRONIC DUO SHOUSE ANNOUNCE THEIR DEBUT ALBUM “COLLECTIVE ECSTASY”
OUT JULY 4 VIA HELL BEACH / ONELOVE
+ SHARE EUPHORIC NEW SINGLE “SUNRISE”
Today, award-winning Australian/New Zealand electronic duo SHOUSE (aka Jack Madin and Ed Service) announced their highly anticipated debut album, Collective Ecstasy - out July 4. To celebrate, the band have shared their latest single, “Sunrise” out now. Built on euphoria, the album marks an exciting new direction for the duo, while keeping their trademark sound and spirit at its core.
The pair’s songs have made a huge impact on the global dance scene — so much so, it’s easy to forget they haven’t even released an album yet. Collective Ecstasy is reflective of the community and tight knit family you make in the SHOUSE world. Their always-emotive vocals capture the feeling of shared joy that comes from being lost in the moment with those around you. Created almost entirely in Naarm/Melbourne, the record brings together bursts of brass, intimate moments from studio jams and contributions made by friends across the world - all contributing to their signature sound.
Paired with today’s announcement is the release of "Sunrise". The track is the cornerstone of a classic night out — from Ibiza’s beach clubs to the terraces of the Côte d’Azur and any dancefloor bold enough to stretch into the morning. Sunkissed and shimmering with trembling nylon guitar, warm trumpet, the signature SHOUSE house groove and sultry vocals, the track instantly transports you to that dancing sweet spot right before dawn, that split-second decision — whether to call it a night or push through to sunrise. But if we commit, we’re in it together.
SHOUSE continues on the single: “There’s something that happens around 2am - a quiet threshold between the high and the hush. ‘Sunrise’ was made for that space. Written in a rural Victorian shack in the still hours, the track centres on a simple guitar, a trumpet, a steady pulse and a refrain that carries the weight of longing: Take me to the sunrise, baby. I don’t want to be alone.”
“SHOUSE’s signature sense of collective emotion pulses through the track - a reminder that dancing is never just about movement. It’s about sticking with each other, sharing the smoke, the sweat and the promise that something better is just over the hill, or just beyond the drop.”
Today’s announcement follows the completion of the duo’s Love Tonight trilogy, with the third single, “Call My Name” marking SHOUSE’s first release of 2025. The track received immediate acclaim and support. This release comes off the back of another major dance crossover, “Walk With Me” by SHOUSE and Felix Jaehn, which has become a radio hit across Europe amassing over 500,000 Shazams since the beginning of the year. Juicing up their 2025 further, the duo will also curate the return of their beloved RISING Festival session, SHOUSE Communitas - a unique mass-musicking event where everyone’s in the band.
SHOUSE is comprised of Jack Madin and Ed Service; a New Zealand and Australian duo who were still working their day jobs - Ed as an arts community manager and Jack as a primary school teacher - when “Love Tonight” exploded in early 2021, propelled by years of widespread international DJ support. The anthem landed in the Top 10 in over 20 countries, earning Platinum certification in both the USA and UK, Triple Platinum in Australia and Diamond status in France, accumulating over 1 billion streams in its wake and announcing the emergence of a new global reaching Australian talent.
